Wig Smith and Rachael Dadd play to a nice sized crowd at the Cascade Steps stage on a sunny Saturday at the Bristol Harbour Festival on 2nd August 2008. Rachael starts off the gig playing her guitar, and with Wig just adding voice accompaniment at this stage. He's wishin' an hopin' that his 21 stringed Kora stays in tune in the blazing sun. Vocal chords have warmed up by now and Rachael swops from playing Guitar to Banjo. I couldn't figure if the microphone was set too high, or if Rachael's normal performing stance was to sing on tippy-toes. Happy-smiley people playing happy-smiley tunes on a happy-smiley day. Sometimes ... just sometimes ... the UK weather is just like that, and that's what makes events like this so memorable. Some of the appreciative crowd sat on the Cascade Steps during the gig.
